During the season from mid-March to the end of October the Flower Garden is filled with colour and scent, each month bringing new blooms to delight in, from the heady perfume of hyacinths and blousy double tulips in the spring, through the scents and soft colours of roses, phlox and sweet peas in the summer to the rich autumnal hues of dahlias and rudbeckia at the close of the season…the Flower Garden is truly a flower-lover’s dream!
As each new area of Our Garden at Bramble Cottage has been cleared, prepared and planted, the range and variety of flowers available through the season increases year on year, to provide more choice for cut flowers and foliage. The Rose Garden has veronica, salvia and scabious for beautiful spring and summer colour, the Woodland Garden is filled with spring bulbs and wild flowers and the Long Border has alliums, phlox and a multitude of other sun-loving flowers.
I find inspiration in the natural beauty of British flowers and in order to ensure excellent quality and maximum vase life, I hand-pick and condition my flowers prior to despatch. When you buy flowers from me, whether for a gift or special occasion, you can be certain of home grown seasonal blooms and foliage that are fresh and natural, grown without artificial fertilisers or pesticides.
Work on the garden is ongoing and visits to the garden are available by appointment. See Our Garden for more information. You can also visit the garden on our Open Garden days throughout the season as posted on our Bramble Flowers Instagram.
